Overview
Rodney Bay is Saint Lucia's main resort area, a stretch of the north-west coast built around a sheltered marina and the long sweep of Reduit Beach. It is lively, practical and full of restaurants, bars and yachts.
It is not a town in the traditional sense, but the fishing village of Gros Islet sits right next door and Pigeon Island guards the northern end. It makes a convenient base for exploring the rest of the island.
