Watch The Monaco Grand Prix
Still to do
Feel F1 cars scream past millimetres from the barriers, between the casino, the tunnel and the superyachts.
The adventure
Nowhere else in Formula 1 are the cars this close. The circuit is the streets of Monte Carlo, barely wider than a car in places, and drivers brush the barriers at over 250 km/h through the tunnel and around the harbour. The noise bounces off the buildings and the walls.
The Grand Prix has been held here since 1929, and Ayrton Senna won it six times. It's part of the Triple Crown of motorsport, with Le Mans and the Indianapolis 500. Over the weekend the harbour fills with superyachts, crowds pack the grandstands and balconies, and the rest of the time you can walk the track yourself: up the hill to Casino Square, down to the hairpin and through the tunnel.
Why it’s epic
- The Casino Square, the Fairmont hairpin and the tunnel.
