Overview
Koror is Palau's largest town and its former capital, spread across a cluster of islands linked by causeways and bridges. It is home to most of the country's people, hotels and restaurants.
For visitors, it is the launch pad for some of the finest diving and snorkelling in the world. Boats leave each morning for the Rock Islands, a UNESCO-listed maze of jungle-topped limestone islets in a turquoise lagoon. On arrival, visitors sign the Palau Pledge to protect the islands.
