Overview
Bimbo is a large town just south-west of Bangui, effectively part of the capital's urban spread along the Ubangi River. It is a residential and market town rather than a tourist destination, and most visitors would see it as an extension of a stay in Bangui.
The Central African Republic has faced long periods of instability, and this guide is written for a future, safer time. Then, the river and the everyday life of its markets are the main reasons to come.
