My experience
The Malay word Orangutan means ‘Person Of The Forest’. This is a very apt name for such an intelligent primate that so closely resembles humans. Distinguishable by their orange-ish colour and long hair they can only be found in the forests of Indonesia & Malaysia.
Orangutans are the largest tree-dwelling primates on the planet, a males arm span can be up to 7 feet, but it’s not their size alone that makes them impressive. It’s a combination of this and their recognisably human characteristics and intelligence
