Overview
Da Nang pairs a long, sandy city beach with a modern riverside centre crossed by colourful bridges. It's one of Vietnam's most liveable cities, and a relaxed base for central Vietnam.
Within an hour you can reach the lantern-lit old town of Hoi An, the imperial city of Hue over the Hai Van Pass, and mountains and caves on the city's edge. Come for the beach, stay for the seafood and the day trips.
